When The Prince Departs From Comfort

Moses decided to forfeit the royal comfort of Pharaoh's Palace as well as the inheritance prepared for him as a "prince" simply for his own personal growth. Had he not left the pleasures of Egypt, he wouldn't have realized God's Purpose for his life.

Lesson: Comfort at the expense of one's progress in life can be uncomfortable over time.

"By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh's daughter. He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time." Hebrews 11:24-25

The Dangers of Comfort Zones

There comes a time in life when one must move regardless of the comfort we may still be enjoying right where we are. Comfort zones will not always bring comfort to those who wish to remain in them even when time to move has come

It is human to want to be comfortable but sometimes life dictates that we should move and venture into new avenues of life. That is Growth!

It's good to remain in the same place for long BUT NOT longer than necessary.

"And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men." Luke 2:52 NIV

Proverbs 25:20 – Like one who takes away a garment on a cold day…

The Silence of Our Behaviour

"When the Pharisees threw the woman caught in adultery at the feet of the Saviour so as to find fault with him, Jesus stooped down. Sometimes the loudest message to our accusers is the silence of our behaviour.

There are times when you don't need to utter a word to those who intend finding fault in you in defence of yourself. Learn to "be still and know that He's God..."

Silence can be your only victory at times. It helps to know when you should talk and when you shouldn't.

Silent yet the loudest!"

Like A Helicopter

Like a helicopter that blows winds around as it lands, so is God when He lands on the grounds of our heart. Often He lands yet not in silence. But when He has fully landed, there's sudden peace that surpassess all understanding.

The presence of confusion is not really confirmation of His absence but affirmation of His occupation into our lives.

We Have A Father

I am fully aware of those "children" who didn't realize the significance of Father's Day perhaps for a number of reasons:

* A father who left you while you were still small or vanished into thin air soon after he learned of your mother's pregnancy or taken away from you by death while you still expected much from him
* A father who is always there physically but never there emotionally
* A father who is alcoholic and abusive every single day that it has become a norm in your family
* A father who is full of many promises but fulfills none
* A father who has forgotten his fatherly responsibilities all of a sudden

Good News:

“I will not abandon you as orphans, I will come to you. John 14:18
"He is a father to the fatherless and an advocate for widows. God rules from his holy palace." Psalm. 68:5
"When you pray say: "Our Father who is in Heaven..." Matthew 6:

We have a father in heaven when our earthly fathers leave us.

"I will never leave you nor forsake you" Hebrews 13:5
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." Deuteronomy 31:6
