The Battle In The Mind
We easily fall into the snare of temptation when our minds are inclined to sin. The body will always act in a way that resembles the inclinations of the mind. Whatever you open your mind to, changes your perspective in life, either for good or bad. Therefore, feed your mind with the right stuff if you want to create the right environment for your mind. It is the environment of our minds that determines the response of our bodies during temptation.
Today, I want to let you know that you do not have to lose the battle for your mind! You do not have to be defeated in your walk with the Lord. You do not have to live a life controlled by the lusts and desires of the carnal nature flesh! You can live your life under the control of the Spirit of God. You can win the battle.
The question is how. Well, thanks for asking. Colossians 3:2 tells us to elevate our affections towards heavenly things. I challenge you today in the midst of all temptation all around you to elevate your mind to the things above and not the things below.
Prayer For Today
Father in heaven, thank you for your love and mercy. Thank you for choosing to speak to me. I receive your Word and invite you to occupy every area of my mind. Fill me with your Holy Spirit that I may learn to overcome the battle in my mind. In Jesus' Name, Amen

Fighting Temptation
It is not temptation that has a problem with us, it is the wrong things we permit into our minds that make us vulnerable to temptation. The effective way of fighting temptation is focusing not really on the temptation but condition of your mind. Whoever attempts to fight temptation without considering what they open their mind to are bound to loose the battle.
Life's greatest battle is not external. Life's greatest battle is internal. Regardless of how many physical battles you may have won, you have not begun until you have conqured the battle in the mind.
Tomorrow, we will discuss further how you can win the battle in your mind. I challenge you to fortify your mind.
"Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed." 1 Peter 1:13

Principle of Consistency
When things fall apart, keep standing. Be consistent doing the good you must do even when it seems less rewarding. Payday is coming!

Season of Establishment
Self-promotion can be detrimental to the soul. We need to learn to wait for our "due season" when we can be rightfully lifted up. You never fly a small air-craft to greater heights it can't afford but to heights it can afford based on the measure of its strength and ability. You only take big air-crafts to greater heights. Greater heights demand strength.
Anyone who rushes for new heights before they are well grounded in what they're doing will soon feint and be weary. Don't despair when it seems like you are trapped in one level. Sometimes it's not because there's anything wrong with you. God could be taking you through a Season of Establishment, preparing you for a great take-off to your destiny.
In the meantime, cultivate the spirit of humility and discover how high God can set you. "...but with humility comes wisdom." Prov. 12:1. God desires for you not to fly but to soar. God's time is always the best time.
"So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor." 1 Peter 5:6
